TESTIMONIALS

“Today as in the times of Jesus, the faithful ask of priests, ‘… teach us to pray.’ This book is an answer to people’s desire to pray. Those who prayerfully use it, clergy and laity, will grow in their love for Scripture and grow in a deeper intimacy with the Father, Jesus and the Holy Spirit. They will learn how to speak ‘heart to heart’ with the living God.” – Archbishop Samuel Aquila, Archbishop of Denver, CO

“Every summer seminarians from across the country come together at the Institute for Priestly Formation, sent by their bishops, to deepen their prayer life and grow in communion with Christ. In Fr. John Horn’s new workbook Heart Speaks to Heart a similar experience within a review of life, coupled with the blessing of healing prayer, can touch the heart of every pastor and every parishioner concerned about growing in intimacy with Christ and tasting God the Father’s love.” – Archbishop Emeritus Robert Carlson, Archbishop Emeritus of St. Louis, MO

“Anyone who seeks to serve the Lord in sincerity and truth will benefit from this prayerful review of their life before the Lord. Heart Speaks to Heart offers new strength for service through a courageous remembering of one’s life before the healing image of Jesus’ risen, pierced Heart. This workbook-journal offers a valuable service when used in the formation of priestly hearts, providing a formation in personal prayer that is transformative and life-giving. If offered in seminaries, the potential value of Heart Speaks to Heart for the spiritual formation of the faithful cannot be overestimated.” – Bishop Joseph  Hanefeldt, Bishop of Grand Island, NE

“This beautiful book developed a method to lead the reader deeper, in a living way, into relationship with Jesus Christ. Its strength lies both in its simplicity and in its prayerful discernment of the ‘how’ which directs the reader towards the ‘Who’ for whom we all long. This practical guide identifies a clear path into the mystery of communion with God.” – Dr. Suzanne Baars, Catholic Psychotherapist, Director of In His Image Christian Counseling Service, Irving, TX

“It brings the reader into the very heart of God. This fine, grace-filled workbook is a thoughtful and beautifully designed tool that allows the Holy Spirit to have his way with each reader. It’s the only way to live!” – Mrs. Adrienne Novotny, Director of the Cenacle of Our Lady of Divine Providence Retreat Center, Clearwater, FL

“The college students I encounter every day have a profound need to experience the truth and power of Jesus’ healing love for them. To say ‘Jesus is Lord of history’ is one thing. To have a lived experience of the truth that Jesus is Lord of every moment of my personal history is quite another. Heart Speaks to Heart offers the reader wisdom, encouragement and concrete tools to taste and see the healing love of Jesus available and victorious in each moment of their life.” – Fr. Scott Traynor, Director of the Broomtree Retreat Center and Director of Continuing Formation for Priests in the Diocese of Sioux Falls, SD

“If we are to win hearts for Christ, we cannot meet their depths with our shallows. This book provides a way to bring the deep cry of human hearts into conversation and contact with the infinite depth of Christ’s healing love. Let all who are thirsty come to the water! When hearts are drawn into conversation and relationship with Jesus, healing always happens.  But how can we draw people into that conversation and into that relationship? Here’s your ‘how to’ guide! Thanks be to God!” – Dr. Ed Hogan, Academic Dean at Kenrick-Glennon Seminary in the Archdiocese of St. Louis, MO
